The snow finally stuck! I love snow and although it feels kind of early I am so excited about out first real snow. So it did snow a couple of times throughout the past month but it never really stuck here in town. This weekend we had some crazy weather. It was so windy, rainy and snowy on Saturday evening. A big branch actually broke off into our driveway. Sunday we decided to take a drive up Logan canyon to enjoy the leaves, the snow and try to hike (we weren’t sure what the trail conditions would be like). The trail we wanted to do is pretty steep so we decided against it but did explore some little trails. It is so beautiful right! I truly love that transition from fall to winter.
I hope you had a fun weekend and got to enjoy some fall weather!
Hello everyone! I hope you are having a great week. It has been prime weather lately to pull out those flannels and sweaters. This is one I got from L.L. Bean and it is so comfortable. The only thing is that I wish I got it in a small, like my other plaid shirts. For some reason I got this one in a medium. Anyways I was able to find a sunny day in all the grey (finally)!

Have a wonderful day!
It is once again Monday and time for a web round-up. It is grey and rainy out this morning, making it slightly more difficult to start the week off right. The following are the things I have been reading on the internet this week:
21 Things for When Your Feeling Lost/Burnt Out: I know I am very much in a position of transition but I have honestly been feeling pretty lost lately. Towards the end of last week I was getting very discouraged in regard to many things and needed to take a step back. The weekend was good because I did some stuff for myself like baking, reading and catching up with friends. This list was a great thing for me to stumble on this morning because I am still needing to do what I can to stay in that creative and motivated mindset. I similar lines, I found this New York Times article to be very insightful on creating healthy habits.
L.L. Bean Sale: So L.L. Bean is having an a amazing sale right now with 20% off pretty much anything with the code FALL20. I bought this Anorak and some classic Bean Boots but there are so many other amazing items (the shearling-lined Bean Boots look so cozy). I love this vest and this pullover. I also have several of their Scotch Plaid flannels and they are amazing! It is the perfect sale for fall and winter.
Traveling Like a Local: When I travel I always want to find the great restaurants and activities of the town, usually the most authentic accounts of city life is through the people that live there. I always try to ask people I know who live where I am going to give me the lowdown on the places places to go and eat. This app could be super useful if you do not know much about where you are going (or you do not know anyone there). Basically it take reviews from locals and compiles them into a user friendly app for your convenience while traveling. The one downside is that it costs per city for the major cities.
Finding Great Books: This one is PopSugars fall reading list and it has some great recommendations. I have about six book recommendation tabs open on my computer right now. I am really trying to read a lot again now that I have the time to do it. In trying to amp up my Halloween feels I found this thriller book list which steers readers toward great books for Halloween. I also found this Autumn list to go along with that seasonal theme, this list includes Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie which is one of my favorite books. This John Green video is also fun for some book recommendations.
Cup of Jo: Cup of Jo shared several interesting things this week, two of which really caught my eye. The first is The Florida Project which is a movie playing in cities across the US. The trailer just really caught my eye and I started thinking a lot about childhood and circumstance. The second thing that caught my eye was Ballet Rotoscope, which is just a beautiful and a very intriguing video. It is hard to explain, I recommend just watching it (its only a few minutes).
