Casual Trail Walking

SO this post is going up much later than I expected. I had a whole bunch of posts planned and started for the end of April but the WiFi in Nebraska would not let me upload any pictures no matter what I tried. So I am just going to be releasing all those posts from April throughout the next week.

This is the perfect spring/summer casual outfit. I love it! It is so comfortable but also very cute and great for warmer weather. My mom and I headed out for a walk on Earth Day on Bobolink Trail in East Boulder. It is a great trail for mountain views and it follows a nice little creek. I haven’t had great internet here in Nebraska so finishing blog posts has been tough.

Farewell to Winter

Although winter is not quite over yet, it is close and I wanted to do one last real ‘cold-weather’ post. This outfit also feels great for the transition into spring with these pink heels. They are the perfect height and a great color for the spring season. Because I have been working a lot but am still in a college setting amping up my wardrobe has been a big part of keeping myself focused and in the ‘work mindset’. I embody my version of business casual everyday and I really love how it is making me feel. Here is one of those outfits:

10 Favorite Outfits: February

So I definitely switched up my approach to this post this month. Instead of intentionally planning and thinking about an outfit in advanced, as an outfit I would probably include in my favorites, I just took some photos of my outfits almost every day. It feels so much more natural and I like the pictures much better. It felt like a more casual setting so it seems like I am much more genuine.

Here are my 10 Favorite Outfits from the month of February:

Hearts & Floral Booties

I hope you are having a good week so far. I have been in a great routine this week (I guess it has only been two days) with waking up earlier. I really love have a little bit of me time in the morning to just read, listen to a podcast and workout. It is a routine that I really want to keep.

So this is the outfit I wore on Valentine’s Day. Yep I am so about the pink right now. Almost every outfit has some pink element lately. I think statement booties are becoming one of my favorite things. They just make an outfit so much more exciting. I have been eyeing another pair but really don’t need them right now.

Be My Valentine

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner I wanted to share some outfit ideas. In general I am not so sure how I feel about Valentine’s Day as a holiday but it can be a great excuse to spend some time with your loved one, or your wonderful friends, especially if you are really needing that time. I have a few ideas for that day but haven’t decided exactly what we are going to do. We are really lucky in that we have the Thursday and Friday off so we might make it into a weekend of fun.

Although I love winter, some of these dresses really have me wishing for some warmer weather. It has snowed almost every night for the past week. Anyways I have been wanting share this dress that I picked up during our trip to Steamboat. I love the color and the crushed velvet fabric. February is definitely my month of pink and I’m loving it. I will be sharing some more looks throughout the month but wanted to get some in before Valentine’s Day.

I also wanted to share other great dresses for Valentines Day. I rounded up some affordable favorites that would make perfect looks. Searching for dressing was so tempting as there are so many great options out there! I chose a variety of styles especially since weather is kind of crazy right now. This first one could be a little better for the colder weather as the length and sleeves are longer. Also tried to pick both red and pick options.

I am adding in a picture from a few weeks ago as well. We went to our friend’s dinner party and I took the opportunity to wear this great pink dress from J. Crew. I really love the length and the cut. It is also such a great option for Valentine’s Day plus it will be great for spring events so I wanted to include it in this post as well.

Pink & Faux Fur

Hello everyone!

I hope this week is off to a good start. It has been a little slow for me so far but the rest of the week is very busy so I am excited to get going. This is one of my favorite date night/ night on the town outfits for winter. I found this jacket at a thrift shop for such a good deal and I couldn’t resist. It is so warm and comfy and I love the vintage-movie star look. I was super into thrifting and finding great deals while I was home because there are some really great pieces out there that would be so above my price range at full price. I also really love these heels, which I wore on New Year’s Eve and have been searching for places to wear them. The color is my favorite and I really like the style with two little buckles.

Aiden and I went on a fun little date up to the local bakery and I decided to take some pictures for this outfit. As a side not that bakery is amazing if you are in Boulder (Lucky’s Bakehouse).

10 Favorite Outfits: January

Yep this year is going to fly by. January is already gone. For some reason I am feeling a little bit sad about how fast time is going. Once again I am rounding up my favorite outfits from the past month. This was definitely an exciting month with quite a bit of travel and lots of time with family and friends.

I just wanted to mention that I wasn’t entirely happy with the pictures that I ended up choosing from for my outfits of the day. I am not sure why but I just don’t love it and decided that my mini goal for February is to work on my outfit photographs especially the quick outfit of the day ones.

Classic Red & Black

I am super excited about how festive this outfit is! I just love the red and black. I have so many scarves and I need to start wearing them more often. I went for this older J. Crew plaid scarf and kind of built my outfit from there. I added this jacket since I am super into coats with belts right now (not really sure why). Anyways, enjoy and have a wonderful week!

Happy Halloween! Wow it’s the end of October already. I had an fun month filled with lots of seasonal activities and adventures with friends. I am totally pumped up for the holiday season and to go home finally! I leave in two weeks for Colorado and I couldn’t be more excited. This October has been a whirl wind in terms of weather but I finally got to wear lots of sweaters and some good plaids. Here are my favorite outfits from the month of October:

Brunch Outfit Ideas

So I wore this black skater dress the other day for a Sunday brunch with some friends and I felt so Audrey… so Breakfast at Tiffany’s. It was perfect. I went all out with a top knot and pearls. We made scrambled eggs, potatoes and pancakes, adding strawberries and homemade maple syrup. We topped it all off with some mimosas and lots of good girl talk.

So I compiled several other great brunch looks, inspired by all sorts of different things including TV shows, movies and current seasonal style:

The Casual look: This is the perfect look for that casual brunch with friends. It is classy so you can go anywhere or stay in and make some delicious food.

The Fall look: This look is perfect for those foggy, pumpkin filled fall brunches. Don’t forget some apple pancakes and warm maple syrup with hot coco or pumpkin spiced lattes.

The TV look: These first looks are inspired by that upper east side brunch look feature in Gossip Girl. Its all about classy white dresses with small lace and embroidered embellishments. It is definitely the upscale look, the fancy Sunday brunch with grandparents at the club or an event brunch.

Once again, brunch is my favorite as I absolutely love breakfast food and I love getting dressed up even just to eat a delicious meal. I hope you enjoyed and have a wonderful Wednesday!
